Artist Statement

I am inspired by light and the way it shines from behind or through the subject I’m painting. I want to illuminate the inner beauty of my subjects and the world around us. The light gives glimpses into the soul and connects us to purity, goodness, and something beautiful. My art inspires hope for the future despite current hardships and offers something deep, profound, beautiful, and uplifting. I make art to shine my own inner light that has been hidden away for decades.
